This is a remarkable dress with a straight, calf-length skirt with a kick pleat at the bottom back. There is a small metal zipper in the upper back of the dress and another at the side. The waist measures 30" and the back is 20" from armpit to armpit.
There are three beaded details in front, cap sleeves, and a smaller acetate shell under the top of the dress that causes it to blouson very nicely. There are two pockets in the front.
I would say that this dress is from the late forties, but could be very early fifties. There is some repair work above the side zipper that is unnoticable on the outside.
